Shiraz Boghani Is Honored With A Well Deserved Reward For His Business Contributions

As the Chairman for the Splendid Hospitality Group, Shiraz Boghani was awarded with the Hotelier of the Year honor from the 2016 Asian Business Awards. Shiraz Boghani manages, and owns 19 of the United Kingdom’s trading hotels, and has spent thirty years within the hospitality industry. He has been qualified as a Chartered Accountant, is considered a dynamic entrepreneur, and the hotel sector is his passion. During the 1900’s, he was one of the hoteliers first to announce hotels with limited service brands.

Shiraz Boghani has recently launched an exciting project for the Hilton London Bankside. Vibrant Bankside will house this stylish London project. His additional flagship hotels include The Grand Hotel & Spa, York, the Conrad London St James, and the Holiday Inn London. His more recent acquisitions are the Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel, and the New Ellington in Leeds. Shiraz Boghani gives a lot of support to a charity registered in the United Kingdom called the Aga Khan Foundation, and the global network of Aga Khan Development.

The judges for the awards included Amit Roy, a renowned journalist, Kalpesh R Solanki, AMG’s Managing Editor, AMG’s Executive Editor Shailesh R Solanki, Rishi Sunak, Yorkshire’s MP for Richmond, and Jitesh Gadhia, the renowned investment banker. Shiraz Boghani was thrilled to be honored with the award. A large part of his business is hotels, and he expressed pride in the progress the group has made. He said it would not have been possible if not for the support from his splendid family, and his experienced management, and executive teams.

According to Splendid Hospitality Group’s CEO, Stuart Baily, no candidate is more deserving, or worthy of this award. Shiraz Boghani is originally from Kenya, and it was 1969 when he arrived in the United Kingdom. He began as an accountant, and progressed through his initial training at the Chartered Accountants firm. He later joined Thomson McLintock & Co, which later became KMPG.

Shiraz Boghani is an innovative businessman, able to see opportunities in business, and one of the founding partners of Sussex Health Care. The business was created in 1985, and has established eighteen Care Homes, and over 500 beds. Shiraz Boghani additionally donates his time, and resources to voluntary services, and charitable organizations.
