Mr. Matthew Autterson attained his B.A in Finance from Michigan State University in 1980. He after that took part in University of Denver Graduate Tax Program. His career in the financial sector began when he joined First Trust Corporation that is a subsidiary of Fiserv. He was part of a small team that had been appointed to charter a new Colorado State chartered trust company, a subsidiary of Integrated Resources, Inc. a New York based financial services company. Four years later, he became the president of Resources Trust Company. During his tenure as president, the company was acquired by Broad Inc. together with other assets owned by Integrated Resources Inc. Broad Inc. later became SunAmerica and was then acquired by AIG for $18 billion in 1998. Fiserv however acquired resources Trust company from AIG. During this time, Resources Trust Company was one of the largest charted financial institutions in the country. It had over 200,000 clients to whom it provided depository and custodial services. The custodial assets were worth more than $20 billion, and the deposits were over $1 billion. These led to the employment of about 700 people.
Matthew Autterson also became a board member of Falci Adaptive Biosystems (FAB). FAB is a nonprofit firm that helps people with neuromotor disabilities. Being part of FAB counts as one of Autterson philanthropic activities. He was also a member of the Board of the Denver Zoo and Denver Zoological Foundation. He was also the chairman of the Board of Directors of Denver Hospice. All these leadership roles come about because Mr. Autterson is a leader in the Colorado business community. He was a former member of the Young Presidents Organization and World Presidents Organization.
Matthew Autterson is currently the President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of CNS Bioscience, Inc. which was started by Scott Falci. The company focuses on neuropathic pain. Despite being philanthropic, some of Mr. Autterson skills include wealth management, wealth management consulting, private wealth management, investment strategy and estate planning. Autterson’s current involvement in CNS Bioscience shows how he is passionate about helping those with neuropathic pain so that they can have normal lives.
